Beware coworkers who produce AI-generated ‘workslop’

Researchers at consulting agency BetterUp Labs, in collaboration with Stanford Social Media Lab, have coined a brand new time period to explain low-quality, AI-generated work: “workslop.”

As outlined in an article printed this week within the Harvard Enterprise Evaluate, workslop is “AI generated work content material that masquerades pretty much as good work, however lacks the substance to meaningfully advance a given job.”

BetterUp Labs researchers recommend that workslop might be one rationalization for the 95% of organizations which have tried AI however report seeing zero return on that funding. The researchers additionally carried out an ongoing survey of 1,150 full-time, U.S.-based workers, with 40% of respondents saying they’d obtained workslop up to now month.
