“Don’t be late,” isn’t as helpful as, “We’re going to go away on time.”
“I don’t wish to be impolite, however…” can simply get replaced by merely saying one thing that isn’t impolite.
And naturally, “with all due respect…” is commonly the preface to one thing mentioned with out due respect.
