Greater than 250 CEOs signed an open letter printed in The New York Instances on Monday calling for AI and pc science to be “core parts” of Okay-12 curricula.
The signatories, which embrace Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Etsy CEO Josh Silverman, and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, argue that pc science and AI training are important to “preserving America aggressive.”
“Nations like Brazil, China, [South] Korea, and Singapore have already made pc science or AI necessary for each pupil,” the letter reads. “The US is falling behind. Within the age of AI, we should put together our youngsters for the long run — to be AI creators, not simply customers.”
